In my journey through the world of words and puzzles, I encountered some questions which ignited my everlasting love for films. Along with crossword format, these questions are gems for cinema lovers.

In 19A section of NYT Crossword, we will answer the first cinematic question: Actor Reeves who plays John Wick. For the fans of Mr. Wick’s story, it is a very easy challenge. However, if you are not into action movies, let me remind you of The Devil’s Advocate or Good Fortune. I am sure that you have the name now: Keanu Reeves.

In row 26A, there is a question which is related to Mr. Reeves’s job (or Kevin Lomax) in The Devil’s Advocate: Lawyer, or a lawyer’s advice. What did he do in the movie? He just provides Counsel. Not to mention vanity by the way.

Section 24A brings one the most important movies in the history of contemporary cinema. Let’s review the question: 1976 film with Robert De Niro as an alienated cabbie. As a film enthusiast, the answer is as clear as crystal. However, since we are in the realm of crossword, let me tell you another riddle: in which movie we have a scene with a mirror and a man saying “You talkin’ to me?” Bravo, you have answered the both questions: Taxi Driver.

In section 53A, we welcome a classic musical opened on Broadway in 1964. The question is: Fanny ___, central figure in Broadway’s “Funny Girl” Crossword Clue. This masterpiece centers upon the life of a comedian and Broadway star. Yes, you are right: Fanny Brice.

For the third season of Fargo series, one actor won the Golden Globe award. You may know the answer, but let me review the question in 33D section: Actor McGregor with a Golden Globe for “Fargo”. If you are a fan of Fargo, there is no need for further riddles, you already know the answer: Ewan McGregor.

As I mentioned earlier, today’s NYT Crossword truly cheered me up and reminds me how cinema is like a miracle to me.
