Need help for today’s box? You’re in the right place. Every day Daze Puzzle posts the current Letter Boxed answers and hints for anyone who just wants to see it and move on with their day. No judgment either way. Some days call for the satisfaction of figuring it out yourself, other days you just need the word.
What Letter Boxed is
Letter Boxed is one of the puzzles under the New York Times Games umbrella, alongside Wordle, Connections, Strands and Spelling Bee.
The setup is a square with three letters sitting on each side (twelve letters total) and your job is to spell your way through all of them using as few words as possible. Two words are dreams. Three or four is a completely respectable outcome. Five is fine too.
How to play, if you’re new here
- Tap or click a letter to start a word, then connect to the next.
- Every word needs at least three letters.
- You can’t chain two letters in a row from the same side of the box. That’s the whole twist.
- Whatever letter you end a word on becomes the first letter of your next word.
- Once all twelve letters have shown up somewhere in your chain, you’ve solved it.
The NYT doesn’t keep a public answer archive inside the app itself, which is exactly why Daze Puzzle’s Letter Boxed hub page exists.
What you’ll find in Daze Puzzle
The day’s letters, laid out by side, plus a couple of hint levels before we just hand you the solution. If you came here mid-puzzle with three letters left and no idea what to do with them, skip straight to the hints.
A quick tip that actually helps
Look for the awkward letters first (J, Q, X, Z, that kind of thing) and figure out early which word is going to absorb them. Everything gets easier once the hard letters are spoken for. After that, it’s mostly about finding a word that ends on a letter with a lot of options, so your next move isn’t a dead end.
